Itemization:
Quest rewards for quests originating withing the Qeynos villages have received another pass. Corrected an issue that caused items to be rewarded with an item count of zero. This will correct the issue with quest rewards going forward, but will not correct existing items with the subscript of zero on the icon. This fix has only been applied to quests originating within the villages.

Class Balance:

Class Update Summary
In an effort to get the state of the game both better balanced and closer to classic, signficant changes have been made across the board to archetype spells and combat arts.
Nearly all abilities have had their casting and recast timers adjusted.
Damage and Healing spells will now scale according to your level, growing more powerful as you do. Values in the examine window represent base values.
Spell damage is now modified by intelligence.
Heal amounts are now modified by wisdom.
Combat art damage is now modfied by strength.
Specific abilities have been adjusted as follows:

Added Toughness- 30 second mitigation buff

Spells: Mage
In classic, items and spells had a skill-based mastery system where the item or spell got more effective as one leveled, until they hit a cap where the spell or item was considered mastered. In that respect, the following experimental changes have been made:
Lightning Burst has had its damage reduced.
Lightning Burst will now gain a damage bonus as the player levels, capped at level 10.

Arcane Bindings has had the way it processes the removal chance modified.
Magi's Shielding has had its casting time and recast timer increased. It now requires concentration.
Cure Arcane has been added to the Mage spell list.
Cure Magic has been removed from the Mage spell list.
Gift of the Magi has had its recast timer reduced.
Lightning Shock has been removed from the Mage spell list.

Class Update: Cleric
Cleric spell progression has been restored to its classic state.
Notable spell changes:
Cure: The Priest Cure spell has been deactivated and replaced with it's four detriment-specific counterparts. Cure Noxious is granted at level 6 while Cure Trauma is granted at level 13. They have a recast time of 8 seconds.
Distract: Distract has been reverted to its classic version. The daze component has been removed and replaced with a minor self heal. It has a recast time of 15 minutes.
The current Cleric spell progression is as follows:
10 - Rebuke - AC debuff
11 - Radiant Strike - Divine DD + damage if undead
11 - Divine Awakening - Summons a divine essence to rez a priest
12 - Bestowal of Vitae - Reactive Heal
13 - Odyssey - sends an ally to their home village
13 - Distract - AoE hate reducer + minor heal
13 - Cure trauma
14 - Soothing Sermon - Group reactive heal
14 - Symbol of Transal - HP group buff

- Cleric's 'The Disconcerting Meditation' now appears to visually-collapse over time until completed or failed.
-- Stepping beyond the meditation limits rips the player out of the meditative state.
- Druid's 'Burning Abode' triggers a fire suppression system after the elementals are dealt with.
-- The careless homeowner has left a journal of what transpired before the current state of the home.

Tradeskill Update:
Many tradeskill updates, the following issues should be resolved
- Counter successes/fails don't seem to have any effect on durability/progress more than a regular tick.
- Every recipe has the description "The art of sculpting metal into a candelabra." in the mouseover tooltip.
- Materials and fuels stored in bank are counted for use in recipes.
- Recipes with a primary component that is not owned in inventory (or bank) show as "Primary Component: [0]" in the recipe tooltip when hovering the recipe icon in the recipe window, instead of red-colored text "Primary Component: Bronze Cluster [0]". This is only with primary components. Build components and fuel components don't have this same behavior.
- Recipes can be crafted from recipe window, without having a crafting station selected or even being near one.
- T1 rawhide leather pelts harvested from dens are not the same pelts needed for any recipe that requires rawhide leather pelts:
Alder, Bronze, Sackcloth, Tranquil Sackcloth, Waxed Leather, Woven Waxed, Elm, Rawhide Leather, Woven Rawhide, Threadbare, Tranquil Threadbare, Tin (probably more)
- examine recipe windows fixed, including showing total amounts of components in your inventory and previously created stage now displays as intended
- when in the craft recipe screen (prior to pressing begin) you may now select components to craft with, all available will be listed that can be used

Want some quick EMU news while running around Norrath? Visit the Bank!
- Bankers around Norrath are now responsible for posting Notice Boards that display relevant EQ2EMU Updates and FAQ.
- These Notice Boards can be found in each starting area as well as near/in banks in major cities.
- These are designed as a temporary tool to impart information to players about current states across the project.
- They are placed in ways that do not break the immersion while playing the game.
Information includes brief statements, such as EMU goals, server & content status, known major bugs, and info to connect to the Discord Channels.
This information will be updated occasionally.

Qeynos Classic Quests: All Classic Qeynos Quests have received a reward review. Their coin values are all uniform to their original levels.
- This pass will make it easier to modify values in the future if they need a uniform increase via a server operator.
- This also accurately simulates the coin influx as players quest around the city. Copper has value here.
- Inner-City quests tend to offer greater rewards, enticing players into the city via the Citizenship questlines.

Tellurian Recruit: The Tellurian Recruit comes in three flavors: tellurian scarab(Apprentice 1-4), tellurian crawler(Adept 1-3), and tellurian recruit(Master 1-2). The tellurian scarab is a stone beetle, the tellurian crawler is an elemental spider, and the tellurian recruit is a stone golem. There will be a noticeable progression in the pet's hitpoints, power, and DPS as the spell is upgraded. Spell lists for the pets themselves are still a work in progress, as is aggro management.

Dev Notes:
Due to the existing state of the current version of Down Below, it was proving excessively difficult to get the zone up to the quality standards we've attempted to establish with our newer classic zones. The zone had been up and running for quite some time and passed through several different hands over the years, notably my own when I first began working on the EMU. This was the first zone I had any sort of hand in, and I made a horrendously bigger mess out of what was already messy.
So, I was left with two choices- Continue to try and clean up existing spawns or start with a clean slate in a fresh copy of the zone. I chose the latter. The version of The Down Below as a zone ID of 834 and will be hooked up to existing zone transports when it's closer to completion.
Update Notes:
The following NPCs have received hitpoints, power, and movement:

a dust crawler hatchling
a coiled burrower
a Bloodsaber meddler^

MILESTONE
Qeynos (Classic) Citizenship Update:
Qeynos has locked it's inner-city gates to refugees! Those looking to enter the city proper must prove their dedication to Qeynos.
ALL new good-leaning characters who transition to Commoner on the Far Journey will be offered the chance for citizenship when arriving in Qeynos.
- Starts by pledging to a city on the Isle of Refuge with an Ambassador.
- Stewards in Qeynos will direct refugees where to go.
- Your inn Caretaker has tasks for refugees to acquaint with your part of Qeynos.
- When directed, refugees will find the citizenship task posted at the inner-city gate.
- Once completed, each refugee must complete a trial to prove their dedication to Qeynos.
NOTE:
-Guards don't tolerate refugees inside the main areas of Qeynos.
-Racial 'hood' gates are locked until refugees complete citizenship.
-Included with the item/faction rewards is also the Call to Qenos / Bind Location abilities.
-This content is in need of testing! There are MULTIPLE layers to this process.
-Castleview, Starcrest, and Nettleville will have their 'coin collection' task updates changed to the classic rendition of their zones once the zones are complete. (e.g. Peat Bog / Down Below)

Starting as a commoner (on the Far Journey) will now set all starting city factions to 0.
- Selecting your city alignment is now final once you've accepted the Alignment quest.
- Accepting a city's alignment influences factions for both Qeynos and Freeport
- If you manage to delete the alignment quest (in the future you won't be able to) you will still not be able to accept the other city's alignment quest

Several additional changes have been made to T1 equipment, particularly armor available from Tailor NPCs, as well as Quartermaster Brennar on the Isle of Refuge.
Mitigation values have been adjusted for the rawhide, woven rawhide, and threadbare armor sets. Some pieces went up in mitigation, others went down.
Leather and woven armors are now Fighter and Scout only. Priests can no longer wear leather armor until completing their eventual class quests and attaining level 10. Sorry healers.

The Atramentor ring event is now live. Atramentor is a level 13^^ stone golem that spawns as part of a ring event in the far back section of the zone. He has a 20% chance to spawn after the Rockpaw stonemaster and the nearby alabaster behemoths have been slain. The event should reset 15 minutes after Atramentor either fails to spawn, or dies. Atramentor has been itemized and is ready for testing.

Crafting: Level 19 Crafters (Craftsmen, Outfitters, & Scholars) can now talk to a crafting trainer to specialize their crafting.
- Matthias Zoe in West Freeport and Devona Ironforge in Qeynos Harbor will guide the certification process.
- This completes tradeskill class transitions in-game rather than the use of admin commands.
- There is no current in-game path to reset a tradeskill class, but this could be considered.

Drossdozer and the Taskmasters:
Due to multiple and often conflicting sources from the time period, we've made the following changes to the Drossdozer spawn. As differing reports place him in either the lowest cave or in the mid-level mine by the ramp upward, we've decided to place him in both. Both camps will be patrolled by the appropriate taskmaster, either Dustpaw or Mudpaw. There are now placeholder spawns at each location with Drossdozer having a 10% chance to spawn at either in order to remain comparable to the standard 20% spawn chance that other named spawns often have.
As usual, these kinds of compromises are far from perfect and we welcome any further input, information, or memories from the community in order to recreate a more accurate representation of this classic content.

Spawn camps have been enabled for rat nests and viper dens. The mechanics work as follows:
Camp spawns.
Round 1: 6 NPCs associated with the camp spawn. Kill them.
Round 2: 1 sub-boss will spawn. Kill it.
Round 3: A named NPC will have a 33% chance to spawn.
Camp despawns.
There are three rat nests and four viper dens within the vicinity of the North Qeynos gates. They are each on a seven minute respawn timer.

-- Baubbleshire Overhaul -- No one asked for it, but here it is.
TL/DR: Baubbleshire is alive! This processes was a learning tool for me.
All quests, dialogue, emotes, npc pathing (yes, even the critters) have been recreated.
All quests related to the Baubbleshire from launch have been manually recreated and available voiceovers applied.
Only a few (3) t3 quests left from outside the city to apply, but old-school is back.
Short list of things left for the adventurous/perfectionists.
All quests have been tested successfully, but welcome further tests.
Movement:
-- All Critter movement modified to sync w/ animation and applied pauses.
-- Marhsal Surefoot now paths his normal circuit.
-- Barmaid Estella Muddyfoot cycles through patrons.
TODO: 'a rat' sneaks towards the dock until barked at by the guard dog, Lance.
Lance's target/lunge/bark is not scripted.
